Why should I work for Global Personnel Pool Inc.?

Global Personnel Pool (GPP) was formed as a new alternative for the healthcare industry. We strive to achieve the best pay, benefits and conditions for our healthcare professionals.

How do I become a healthcare professional with GPP?

Simply complete our form and you will be contacted by one of our recruiters. Your recruiter will answer questions regarding GPP, our open assignments, assignment benefits, the licensure requirements for each position and any other questions you might have. All it takes is one phone call. We believe it will be the best career decision you’ll ever make.

Am I under any obligation to you after submitting my application?

No. The application you submit will be used to evaluate your qualifications against our open positions. You can register and let us know when you’re planning to be available and we will work to link you with the assignments of your choice.

How do I choose an assignment?

After completion of the requirement process, you will then be presented with available assignments based on your specialty and shift preferences. It’s always your choice.

What happens after I select an assignment?

A copy of your paperwork with your selected start date, unit, and shift will be sent to the facility for their review. A time will also be established for a telephone interview between you and the healthcare facility.

What happens after the telephone interview?

You and the facility will decide if the assignment is right for you. If the facility extends a request for you and you decide to accept it, your recruiter will confirm your start date, shift, unit and salary. Shortly therafter, you will receive a confirmation package in the mail with information pertaining to your assignment.

What happens at the end of an assignment?

At the end of your contract you can anticipate either an offer to extend your contract at the current facility, to select another location/facility, or to return home and let us know when you wish to go on an assignment again in the future.

What are GPP's hourly pay rates?

Pay rates depend on the facility and location. All rates are highly competitive.

Can GPP keep me continuously working?

Yes. If you are flexible about assignments we will always be able to find a position that suits you.

If I like my assignment, can I work full-time for the facility?

Yes. If the facility makes an offer and you will like to become a full-time employee, you will have to inform GPP immediately and complete the remainder of your contract with GPP. GPP will reach an understanding with the facility.

Do I need to complete the GPP application, or will my resume be enough?

Your resume will start the process, however by completing our application form you ensure that all the information our client facility needs, are available in a format that makes it easy for them to fully understand your skills and background.

Do I need to get a physical before I send in my application?

No. Only once you have accepted an assignment, does our client facility require a physical before you start the assignment (or a copy of one in the last year).

What should I do with my reference letters?

GPP requires two current (and above average) references from recent previous employers, before we can employ you. You have three options regarding reference letters: • Forward any that you have to us, along with the authorization for us to contact the reference for confirmation of the contents • Sign and send your reference letters to your employers, and ask them to return them to us • Authorize us to contact your reference directly and obtain reference letters from them

Do I need a license for each state?

Yes. You need a license for every state in which you work. Every state has different requirements, just call us and we will give you the contact information for the state’s licensing board of and then you can request an application.

How do I work out my taxes at the end of the year?

As your employer, GPP withholds your taxes; you are not an independent contractor. At the end of the year, you will receive a W-2 form, for every state in which you have worked.
